A mile long Krk Bridge which connects the island to the mainland which makes, together with the international airport, makes the Island of Krk the most accessible island for all visitors, who come from the continental part of Europe in search for the Mediterranean atmosphere. The Island of Krk is a diverse island that offers variety of attractions and experiences, whether you like the culture, the nature or the upbeat tourist places: a thousand years old towns, small rural villages, well equipped city beaches, secluded swimming bays, lively bars and clubs and small and quiet restaurants and cafe bars. Island of Krk is also a perfect place to learn about the heritage of Croatia. We recommend a visit to Krk island towns of Baška, Vrbnik, Punat, Stara Baška, Malinska, Njivice, Omišalj, Š0ilo and Krk City or enjoy peace and quiet of Krk rural areas in places such as Brzac village.
The city of Baška is located on the south east part of Krk, surrounded by woodlands and many sand and pebble beaches, most notably the 1,800-meter-long Baška beach. In the surrounding area there are 16 hiking trails with a total length of over 80 km. Medicinal and other herbs grow in abundance, including wormwood, sage, thyme, and milfoil. It represents a cultural and historical center with its old stone houses and narrow streets. It is known for its inscribed stone monument from 1100, for its many surrounding beaches, and its long tradition in tourism. Baška has a rich cultural and historical heritage. Among others a renowned Baška tablet from the year 1100 was found in the Church of St. Lucy the nearby Jurandvor.
This is where our cozy apartments are located, in Jurandvor, only 2 km away from the lovely Baška; in a peaceful area near famous Baška beach and town, yet within a 20 minute walking distance to all amenities, the main pebble beach and the magic of evening happenings. Away from all the happenings, but close enough to enjoy them, we are offering you a place to relax, splash in a pool and have a good BBQ in the evening. What more to want, right?

It's a very nice and comfy house! We felt like we were home. The house is newly built and still has some things that need to be finished/adjusted, but the location is very nice and grants a great view on all the valley. It may be a bit hard to find the house the first time, because it doesn't have a house number and all the roads in Jurandvor are called as the town itself, but once you get there everything will be fine. The rooms are properly furnished, and the kitchen is quite good. We really appreciated being there!
Tolles Haus mit einigen kleineren Mängeln (Loch in der Mauer, Sprung in einem Fenster, beides an nicht sehr auffälligen Stellen)... Die Wegbeschreibung hat trotz verwirrender Häusernummerierung vor Baska gepasst, wir haben es sofort finden können... Die Fotos von Haus und Umgebung entsprechen der Realität, es ist sehr schön und stilvoll eingerichtet... Dem Gastgeber muss ein Lob ausgesprochen werden, wir haben Handtücher, Salz & Pfeffer und anderer alltäglicher Dinge plus kühl gelagertem Orangensaft und Schinken im Haus vorgefunden, dies ist definitiv nicht alltäglich!! Genauso wenig, das uns Dinge die wir im Haus vergessen haben, per Post nachgesandt werden, auch dies verdient eine Erwähnung! Alles in allem ein gelungerer Aufenthalt in sehr angenehmer Umgebung!!
Abbiamo ricevuto un'accoglienza particolarmente gentile, con aperitivo e vino fresco in frigorifero. La casa è arredata con gusto e dotata di tutte le comodità, dal barbecue in giardino, all'amaca in terrazzo. E' stato fantastico fare colazione e cenare a bordo piscina! Abbiamo riscontrato in particolare grande correttezza e disponibilità di Daniel in occasione di un danno alla casa del quale non eravamo responsabili. Consiglio a tutti di soggiornare in questa bellissima casa!
Daniël was a very friendly host. We had some delays on arrival and couldn't fine the place but he waited for us and prepared some food and wine as a welcome gift. That was so nice! He also gave us the tour around the house. The house was very nice! A newly build house with a lovely pool en BBQ. Everything was new and most important very clean. There were two bedrooms each with a bathroom and a separate toilet. We couldn't use the pool because it was too cold, but it wasn't a problem since we were on sightseeing all the times. The place is very good for the nightrest.. it is very quiet and dark, that's also why the location is a bit hard to find, we find it a bit scary for the first time, but you'll get used to it ;). You can see the stars very good at night when the sky is clear. The view is also good to the mountains. I would very recommend this place!
Saša was very friendly and welcomed us with a great big smile, a lovely selection of local produce and a tour of the house. The house was very comfortable and clean, the simple yet stylish decor suited the holiday home feeling. Very well equipped kitchen made self-catering a joy and the wifi kept us in touch with the rest of the world in an otherwise remote location. The pool was a real blessing, just like the air-con. Great location, away from the hustle and bustle of a very busy (August) Baška, yet within a 20 minute walking distance to all amenities and the main beach. We discovered a nearby garden selling homegrown fruit and veg and a local restaurant within a 10 minute walking distance provided us with simple yet lovely meals. Loads to do and see in nearby towns and villages, this was a perfect holiday in a perfect location. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a fab place and a holiday to remember.

There are 2 ways to reach the Island of Krk from any point in Europe. You pass Slovenia (i) towards Postojna and Ilirska Bistrica or (ii) towards Zagreb; and then continue towards Rijeka to reach the Krk Bridge (there are no ferriesJ). Baška is at the end of the island so it will take you another 45 minutes to reach it.
Just before reaching Baška you will drive through a small town called Jurandvor. Pay attention to “Baščanska Ploča” [ang. Baška tablet] or “Crkva Sv. Lucije” [ang. Church of St. Lucy] and turn left as if these two were your final destination. The road will end with a parking area and you turn right just before that. 50 meters ahead you will see a beautiful light yellow house on the left and this is where you will be staying.
You will find that apartments are located in a peaceful area, at a slightly higher altitude than the bay, which allows for the most beautiful views. In the morning, you will be waking up by listening to the singing of the birds and you will be going to sleep with a million of stars and the moon that feels so close, you can almost reach them in the evening.
The most famous Baška beach and the town are within a 20 minute walking distance, away from all the happenings, but close enough to enjoy them. You can go to the beach by car and be there in just a couple of minutes, however we recommend a much more beautiful experience by walking or going to the beach by bike, as there is an extremely pleasant and nice road nearby, that will take you through the light woods and along a small stream.
